Abilene Ghost Tour

Wild West and Ghosts Collide! Once described as a dwelling of gamblers, prostitutes, and contract killers, Abilene's reputation for being rough and rowdy took hold in the 1800's which attracted every vile, wicked, and barbaric desperado in the territory! As Bad as Abilene became a common description in a not so common town. Step back in time as the tour walks you through Old Abilene Town, a re-creation of days gone by!

Find out what happened to Sheriff Tom Smith and other hooligans and lawmen. Load the bus for many stops including where the Kirby House once stood, built by banker and businessman Thomas Kirby for his family in 1885. No tour would be complete without a trip to the old St. Joseph's Catholic Orphanage. Abilene Library, and many downtown businesses included on the tour.

Great Plains Theatre harbors several ghosts, some nice and some not so nice. What fun it is to hear about the Rivendell Book Store. Find out what investigators found in many of these locations. Tour takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Stops include walking tours of Old Abilene Town, Great Plains Theatre and Old St. Joseph's Orphanage. Tours depart outside the Hitching Post Restaurant

100 SE 5th, St. Abilene, Kansas
